Celonis and Cavalis have introduced a new Process Intelligence-powered app to help manufacturers optimise their product portfolios, cut costs, and boost revenue.
The Celonis Product Portfolio Optimisation for Manufacturing app, powered by Cavalis, gives manufacturers a real-time, data-based view of their product mix. It helps simplify complex product lines and improve profitability amid supply chain challenges and rising input costs.
Celonis said the app enables product managers to make data-backed decisions on rationalisation, inventory, and product lifecycle management. It also supports revenue growth by freeing up production capacity for new products while reducing maintenance and inventory costs.
The launch comes as manufacturers face mounting pressure to make faster, smarter product decisions. One global manufacturer has already used the app to speed up the alignment of material master data between components and finished products.
“AI is bringing unprecedented opportunities to manufacturing, but most companies still struggle to unlock its full potential,” said Liam Mawe, global VP, industries at Celonis. “By combining Celonis Process Intelligence with Cavalis’ expertise, we give AI the context it needs to manage and update complex portfolios in real time, driving meaningful business impact.”
Fabian Gatzka, managing director and co-founder at Cavalis, said product portfolio management has long been bogged down by siloed data and disconnected teams. “Bringing Process Intelligence into this workflow turns it into a strategic advantage that delivers real-world results,” he said.
The app integrates data from procurement, order management, manufacturing, and supply chain systems to create a live digital twin of a company’s operations. Its key feature, Bill of Materials decomposition, breaks down product structures to identify cost drivers, component dependencies, and opportunities for standardisation.
Celonis, headquartered in Munich and New York, provides process mining and AI-based solutions to improve business operations globally.
The app is part of the Celonis Platform Apps Program, which offers pre-built, industry-specific tools from trusted partners built on the Celonis Process Intelligence Platform.
