Accenture has invested in Replit, an AI-powered software development platform, and entered into a strategic partnership aimed at helping enterprises build applications faster using artificial intelligence, the companies announced Wednesday.

The deal, struck through Accenture Ventures, comes as organisations across industries begin moving away from traditional development cycles — often slowed by complex infrastructure setup and lengthy coding processes — towards AI-native approaches that allow teams to go from idea to working application using natural language prompts. The trend has acquired its own shorthand in the industry: vibe coding.

Under the partnership, Accenture will work with Replit to identify practical use cases and development workflows that can be scaled to its clients globally.

“Every enterprise wants to move faster — from idea to working application, and from prototype to production,” said Ram Ramalingam, global lead for software and platform engineering at Accenture. “Our collaboration with Replit puts that capability in the hands of more teams.”

Replit’s cloud-based platform combines coding environments, AI-powered development assistance, collaboration tools, and hosting infrastructure in a single workspace. Its AI agents can generate and modify code from natural language prompts, allowing teams to build and deploy applications without manually configuring development environments.

“Partnering with Accenture will allow us to bring AI-driven software development to more enterprises,” said Ghazi Masood, chief revenue officer at Replit.
