Anthropic announced that it has raised $13 billion in fresh funding, giving it a huge post-money valuation of $183 billion. The funding round was led by ICONIQ, a well-known investment firm, showing strong investor interest in the AI sector.

Fidelity Management & Research and Lightspeed Venture Partners also co-led the round, while other big investors included the Qatar Investment Authority, Blackstone, and Coatue. Amazon.com is a backer of Anthropic, highlighting how big tech companies continue to bet on the AI boom, as per a report by Reuters.

Anthropic said this was a Series F investment and it would use the money to expand enterprise capacity, boost safety research, grow internationally, and build more reliable and controllable AI systems.

The company revealed that its revenue run-rate jumped sharply in 2025, starting at about $1 billion early in the year and climbing to over $5 billion by August. Despite concerns about overall tech industry spending, investor enthusiasm in AI startups remains strong, and Anthropic is one of the biggest examples of that, as stated in the report.
