Snowflake, an AI Data Cloud company, has announced a research preview of Project SnowWork, an autonomous enterprise AI platform that can execute multi-step business tasks and deliver outcomes directly to users.

The platform is intended to allow business users to initiate tasks through conversational prompts and have the system plan, analyse and complete workflows end-to-end, including generating reports, presentations and operational insights.

“We are entering the era of the agentic enterprise, ushering in a fundamentally new way to work,” said Sridhar Ramaswamy, Chief Executive Officer of Snowflake. “Project SnowWork looks to put secure, data-grounded AI agents on every surface, so business leaders and operators can move from question to action instantly.”

Project SnowWork is being rolled out to a limited set of customers and is designed to operate on Snowflake’s governed data environment, enabling execution of workflows such as forecasting, churn analysis and supply chain diagnostics without manual intervention.

The company said the platform can autonomously plan and execute complex workflows, generate analysis with recommended actions, and coordinate across enterprise systems while maintaining data governance and security controls.

The launch comes as enterprises move beyond AI-assisted insights toward systems that can take actions based on data. Snowflake said the platform connects enterprise data, intelligence and applications into a single system capable of coordinating tasks at scale.

Project SnowWork builds on Snowflake’s broader AI stack, including Snowflake Intelligence and developer tools such as Cortex Code, with an emphasis on allowing users to move from data queries to execution without relying on technical teams.

The launch follows Snowflake’s $200 million partnership with OpenAI to integrate AI models into enterprise data workflows, as the company expands its push into AI-driven automation.
