Zoom Expands Enterprise Agentic AI Platform

Zoom Communications has announced the expansion of its enterprise agentic AI platform, unveiling new workflow orchestration capabilities across Zoom Workplace, Zoom Phone, and Zoom CX. The updates extend Zoom’s system of action for modern work, enabling organisations to automate tasks, trigger cross‑system workflows, and turn meetings, calls, and customer interactions into completed business outcomes.

Unlike traditional AI assistants that summarise conversations but rely on manual follow‑through, Zoom’s agentic AI platform embeds workflow automation directly into meetings, calls, chat, and contact centre interactions, the company said in a statement. This ensures conversations automatically trigger action across enterprise systems, the company stated.

“The next phase of enterprise AI will be defined by the ability to move from conversation to action,” Velchamy Sankarlingam, President of Product and Engineering at Zoom, said in a statement. “Zoom’s agentic AI platform is designed to orchestrate action across systems, turning every meeting, call, and customer interaction into a trigger for workflow automation,” he added.

The enhancements include custom and prebuilt AI agents with no‑code orchestration, new third‑party integrations for AI Companion, AI‑first canvases such as Zoom AI Docs, AI Sheets, and AI Slides, Zoom Phone Mobile, SMS for Zoom Virtual Agent AI Receptionist, and AI Expert Assist 3.0 for Zoom Contact Center.

Zoom highlighted that AI Companion 3.0 is now rolling out across the Zoom Workplace app, Zoom Business Services, and Workvivo. Previously available only in browsers, the upgrade leverages Zoom’s federated AI platform to securely connect conversations, enterprise data, and apps. The company noted that AI Companion Monthly Active Users more than tripled year‑on‑year in Q4 FY26.

Zoom also introduced new capabilities for its Custom AI Companion add‑on, allowing organisations to build custom AI agents that act on their behalf. These agents streamline activities such as retrieving insights, automating tasks, and orchestrating workflows across third‑party systems including Salesforce, Slack, and ServiceNow.

Teams will be able to convert meeting conversations and insights into structured documents, data analysis, and presentation content with the expansion of AI canvases, which work seamlessly within Zoom Meetings for real‑time co‑creation.

Moreover, the company announced Zoom AI Services, a new suite of enterprise‑grade AI APIs for speech, language, reasoning, and image processing. These services enable developers to leverage the same transcription, translation, summarisation, and deep reasoning technologies that power Zoom’s own products.

By embedding workflow orchestration into its collaboration and CX products, Zoom positions its agentic AI platform as a system of action for enterprises, moving beyond conversation summaries to deliver completed outcomes.
