CoreWeave has signed a multi-year agreement with Anthropic to provide cloud infrastructure supporting the development and deployment of Anthropic’s Claude family of AI models, the companies announced Thursday.
Under the deal, Anthropic will use CoreWeave’s platform to run workloads at production scale, with compute coming online later this year. The companies said the collaboration would begin with a phased infrastructure rollout, with the potential to expand over time.
The agreement adds Anthropic to a client list that now includes nine of the ten leading AI model providers, underscoring the surging demand for specialised cloud infrastructure as AI workloads grow more computationally intensive.
“AI is no longer just about infrastructure — it’s about the platforms that turn models into real-world impact,” said Michael Intrator, co-founder and chief executive of CoreWeave.
CoreWeave, which listed on Nasdaq earlier this year under the ticker CRWV, has built its business around GPU-accelerated cloud computing tailored for AI workloads. The company has cited top rankings in the MLPerf benchmark and SemiAnalysis ClusterMAX evaluations, which assess AI cloud performance, efficiency, and reliability.
