Global software engineering firm Nagarro has formed a partnership with Cursor, the AI-powered coding platform, to embed AI assistance across its software development work for clients — part of a broader industry push to make AI a standard fixture of professional engineering rather than an experimental add-on.
The partnership formalises what is already under way: Nagarro says its teams are using Cursor across several active client engagements. The company will now expand that usage across the full software development lifecycle — from requirements gathering and system design through to code generation, refactoring, debugging, and quality assurance — and will track measurable improvements in speed and output as adoption widens.
Nagarro is putting specific numbers behind the ambition. The company has committed to demonstrating productivity improvements of up to 20 per cent for clients, with the focus on faster feature delivery, greater consistency, and higher code quality in day-to-day engineering work rather than in controlled conditions.
“We are always focused on pushing boundaries and continuously improving how software is built,” said Ganesh Sahai, Nagarro’s chief technology officer. “With Cursor, we are working closely with our teams to deliver clear gains in speed, consistency, and overall productivity.”
Cursor, which allows developers to work across multiple AI models within a single coding environment, has become one of the more widely adopted tools amongst professional engineering teams since its launch. The platform is designed to operate inside the development environments teams already use, rather than requiring workflow changes to accommodate it.

The two companies say they will continue expanding adoption beyond the initial pilot projects, refine their approach based on early learnings, and publish case studies documenting the results at scale. Nagarro framed the partnership as part of its broader focus on what it calls Fluidic Intelligence — an internal framework for combining AI, data, and engineering to accelerate delivery and improve outcomes for technology clients.
