Alongside the cloud launch, TCS also introduced a Sovereignty Consulting and Delivery Framework in the EU.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched its SovereignSecure Cloud platform in Europe, as India’s largest IT services company looks to tap rising demand for data sovereignty, localisation, and compliance-led cloud infrastructure across the region.

The offering is aimed at governments, public sector entities, and regulated industries in the European Union (EU), where enterprises are increasingly looking for greater control over data, operations, and digital infrastructure amid evolving regulatory requirements and geopolitical concerns.

The Mumbai-headquartered IT major said the platform combines sovereign cloud architecture with artificial intelligence capabilities and is designed to help enterprises comply with EU regulations without compromising on operational flexibility and interoperability.

The launch comes at a time when European enterprises are reassessing dependence on global cloud providers and supply chains, while also trying to accelerate AI adoption. Technology services firms and hyperscalers have increasingly been rolling out sovereign cloud offerings globally as governments tighten scrutiny around cross-border data flows and digital infrastructure control.

TCS said the European offering follows the rollout of the platform in India in 2025, and subsequent expansion into Kenya, East Africa, and the Philippines.

According to the company, the European version of SovereignSecure Cloud has a multi-layered architecture comprising a sovereign cloud layer built with hyperscalers, a national sovereign cloud layer for country-specific localisation requirements, and an enterprise cloud services layer based on TCS’ EU-specific enterprise cloud framework.

“European organisations are looking to strike a balance between addressing supply chain and sovereignty risks while ensuring leverage of frontier technologies to be globally competitive. TCS SovereignSecure Cloud solutions mark an important milestone for TCS in Europe, as our customers can now benefit from a pragmatic approach to cloud that ensures resilience and sovereignty that is contextualised to the enterprise,” Sapthagiri Chapalapalli, Head of Europe, TCS, said in a statement.

Alongside the cloud launch, TCS also introduced a Sovereignty Consulting and Delivery Framework in the EU. The framework is intended to help organisations classify workloads based on risk and apply different levels of sovereign controls, rather than adopting a uniform approach across all systems.

Europe remains a key market for Indian IT services firms, particularly in sectors such as banking, manufacturing, telecom and retail.

“As enterprises and governments across Europe accelerate their digital transformation journeys, the need for secure, compliant and sovereign cloud architectures has never been more critical,” TCS stated.
